Since 1933 the Bernardi family has been serving Italian & American cuisine. Famous for Mona's northern Italian Tortellini and spaghetti people travel from all over the state for great food, and friendly service. Mike Bernardi's son and daughter have joined the family business, Tony in 1988 and Stephanie in 1996, bringing it to the third generation. After working the family business, they had thought it was time to expand out their great service and quality foods. Bernardi's opened in Washington, IL in 2001, Bernardi's II in Pontiac, IL in 2005, and the latest location is Bernardi's North, opened in 2008 at Lake of the Woods Plaza in Dunlap, IL. A little gem of small town Pontiac, IL. I wasn't expecting much and was surprised that they are above average for sure. Giving them a five star for it being better than expected. Will visit again.Pasta has just the right amount of sauce and taste good!

Good food. Price on common Spaghetti dishes are about $14.

Had a party of 8 Friday and had an excellent experience! The food (fried chicken of course) was excellent and the service was on top! Our waitress Ali was a very sweet girl and even though it was pretty busy, she was all smiles and made sure to always keep our drinks filled! My daughter has a serious food allergy to soy and Ali went out of her way to make sure we didn’t order anything with soy in it! It’s hard dining out when having a food allergy because some servers don’t have the same attitude towards it like she did and we really appreciated it!
